When you unpack the Napp mattress for the first time, it emits some off-gas smells that result from the manufacturing process, much like any other all-foam mattress. People who are allergic to off-gas compounds may struggle with this for one or two nights. Its edges also lack reinforcement, so weightier customers might choose to sleep in the centre instead of the edges of the mattress.

Even though the Vital mattress is only 23cm and the most economic option from Ecosa it is relatively heavy. It comes conveniently delivered vaccum packed in a box but it is difficult to set up if you don't have help. The firmness is a fixed medium feel so it doesn't have the flexibility of adjustment by flipping the internal foam layers like the original Ecosa mattress.

Ecosa's best-selling memory foam combines with 7 zoned pocket springs. The pocket springs are zoned along the body to ensure better alignment and support where you need it, so you can have a pain-free sleep. These pocket springs are individually wrapped coils that move independently to contour to your body, and firmer springs are used along the perimeter of the mattress for reinforced edge support.

A Hygroflex comfort layer, exclusive to Napp, has superior temperature control than regular memory foam. A mid layer of Gel Infused Memory Foam moulds to your curves. It's pressure-relieving properties help to increase blood circulation, which reduces tossing and turning that can disrupt your sleep. This high density memory foam is gel-infused so it won't overheat like some memory foams.

No Disturbance technology means you can have undisturbed sleep, no matter how much you or your sleeping buddy moves in their sleep. Cool to the touch European cover created with Outlast© technology. This stretch knit cover will help you sleep comfortably cool, is water resistant and is removable (zip off) for easy care.

The Vital Mattress cover is OceanCycle certified, meaning up to 120 plastic bottles were collected from the ocean and repurposed into the cover. This cover may be removed and machine washed. Simply zip the top off and pop it in your washing machine.
