When you unpack the Napp mattress for the first time, it emits some off-gas smells that result from the manufacturing process, much like any other all-foam mattress. People who are allergic to off-gas compounds may struggle with this for one or two nights. Its edges also lack reinforcement, so weightier customers might choose to sleep in the centre instead of the edges of the mattress.

The softest setting on the Ecosa is still quite firm. It’s about the same firmness as a medium on an average mattress. For sleepers who prefer softer beds, an Ecosa mattress might not be ideal. The Ecosa Pure is only available in Queen and larger sizes. This means if you have a smaller bedroom with only space for a double then this mattress is currently unavailable in that size. The 29cm depth and the luxurious materials used in the construction make this extremely heavy to maneuver.

Even though the Vital mattress is only 23cm and the most economic option from Ecosa it is relatively heavy. It comes conveniently delivered vaccum packed in a box but it is difficult to set up if you don't have help. The firmness is a fixed medium feel so it doesn't have the flexibility of adjustment by flipping the internal foam layers like the original Ecosa mattress.
