The Napp mattress has a medium firmness best suited for side sleepers and couples who find it challenging to agree on a mattress's firmness.
The Ecosa Mattress is a favorite for sleepers who love firm, cool mattresses. Its gel technology and memory foam core are great for those with back or joint issues, hot sleepers, or partner sleeping. The mattress is medium-firm to extremely firm, depending on the layers.
The Ecosa Pure Mattress is the most luxurious offering to date from Ecosa. The certifications will be well received by eco-conscious shoppers (Carbon Neutral, OEKO-TEX, OceanCycle). The adjustable firmness makes it a winner for those already familiar with the original Ecosa mattress and whom may be considering an upgrade.
The Emma Comfort mattress is a medium-firm foam mattress that’s ideal for kiwis looking for great quality and comfort at a reasonable price point. It’s also great for couples and people who like the pressure relief of foam mattresses but still want to sleep cool.
What we like
The mattress is medium-firm and balances the need for a sturdy, firm, yet breathable mattress. The cover is also removable and comes from a material that excellently controls temperature. o
There are several things to love about the Ecosa mattress. Here are some of the features we love: * Triple-layer, adjustable foam * Extreme motion transfer control * Cooling gel memory foam * Cheap and easy to purchase * 100 day trial period
There are several things to love about the Ecosa Pure mattress. Here are some of the features we love: * Carbon neutral * 80 recycled bottles used in the cover * Latex foam, 20cm springs AND micro coils * Adjustable firmness * 100 day trial period and 15 year warranty
The Emma Comfort mattress is a great option for anyone looking for a comfortable and affordable sleep surface. As someone who has personally tested this mattress, I can attest to its ability to provide a supportive and restful night's sleep. It was during a period of exhaustive painting and it was great to have such a comfortable sleep to allow my body to recover. My wife had a small period of adjusting to the mattress and initially didn't like the feel but this changed after the first week. One of the standout features of the Emma Comfort is its combination of memory foam and polyfoam layers, which work together to provide a comfortable yet supportive sleeping surface. The foam layers also help to distribute weight evenly, reducing pressure points and allowing for a more comfortable sleep experience. The Emma Comfort also features a removable, washable cover made of a breathable and durable material that helps to regulate temperature and keep you cool throughout the night. The cover is easy to clean and maintain, making it a practical choice for those looking for a low-maintenance mattress. While the Emma Comfort is an excellent mattress in its own right, it is worth noting that the Emma Diamond Hybrid offers even more advanced features and comfort. The Diamond Hybrid mattress features a combination of memory foam and pocket springs, which provide better support and pressure relief than the Emma Comfort's polyfoam layers. Overall, the Emma Comfort mattress is a great option for those on a budget who are looking for a comfortable and supportive sleep surface. However, if you have the budget to invest in a higher-end mattress, the Emma Diamond Hybrid is a better option, providing even more advanced features and comfort for a truly restful night's sleep.
Keep in Mind
When you unpack the Napp mattress for the first time, it emits some off-gas smells that result from the manufacturing process, much like any other all-foam mattress. People who are allergic to off-gas compounds may struggle with this for one or two nights. Its edges also lack reinforcement, so weightier customers might choose to sleep in the centre instead of the edges of the mattress.
The softest setting on the Ecosa is still quite firm. It’s about the same firmness as a medium on an average mattress. For sleepers who prefer softer beds, an Ecosa mattress might not be ideal. Ecosa’s brand has grown in the past few years, but they still only sell in Canada, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, and the United States. In these countries, shipping is free. If you don’t live in those countries, you can't purchase an Ecosa mattress.
The Ecosa Pure is only available in Queen and larger sizes. This means if you have a smaller bedroom with only space for a double then this mattress is currently unavailable in that size. The 29cm depth and the luxurious materials used in the construction make this extremely heavy to maneuver.
The Diamond Hybrid mattress has advanced zoning technology that helps to distribute weight more evenly, further reducing pressure points and ensuring a more comfortable sleep experience. While the Diamond Hybrid mattress comes at a higher price point, the added features and benefits make it a better investment if your budget allows.

Comfort Specs
A Hygroflex comfort layer, exclusive to Napp, has superior temperature control than regular memory foam. A mid layer of Gel Infused Memory Foam moulds to your curves. It's pressure-relieving properties help to increase blood circulation, which reduces tossing and turning that can disrupt your sleep. This high density memory foam is gel-infused so it won't overheat like some memory foams.
The ECO-Tex comes in a medium firmness configuration. It's designed to mould to the body and give it a bounce back. For a slightly firmer feel (medium-firm), flip the layer over to the G-7 gel memory foam. It contains gel-infused particles to help stabilise temperature and keep you cool through the night.
No Disturbance technology means you can have undisturbed sleep, no matter how much you or your sleeping buddy moves in their sleep. BounceTech™ Latex Foam is an open cell Dunlop Latex which is used for its breathable comfort and medium firmness. Micro Coil Technology allows airflow through the up to 2,000 individual 2.5cm coils.
Airgocell® foam is moisture-wicking to keep your sleep nice and dry. Supportive HRX Foam has open pores which enhance breathability, so you sleep cool and fresh.
Support Specs
University research has shown Hygroflex foam to offer superior pressure point relief than other memory foams. It also allows you move freely and not have that 'stuck in' feeling you may have had with other foams. The high density foam support core provides comfortable support and durability, while minimising partner disturbance and roll together.
Our high-density support foam has ergonomic grooves that does not only provide extra breathability, but also paves way for zero-partner disturbance and long-lasting durability.
Micro coils provide precision support and contouring for pain-free sleeping. Adaptive Talalay Latex for a medium-firm feel and dynamic support. Sleep supported with 7 zones of pocket springs ensuring perfect spinal alignment. Firm pressure supports your lower back and knees, with cushioning for the pressure points in your hips and shoulders. Firmer springs surround the mattress perimeter for reinforced edge support. Recycled Felt is a protective layer for the pocket springs, made from 100% recycled materials. Finally, reinforced latex foam supports the pocket springs.
The Ultra-Comfy Airgocell® Foam layer is point-elastic which allows one area of your mattress to compress without impacting the rest. This means you won't feel a thing if you share a bed with someone who moves while they sleep. The supportive HRX foam layer is made with special zoning technology for proper hip, shoulder, and spinal alignment. This innovative foam helps your mattress contour perfectly to your individual body shape.
